Quality at Primo

Our products are checked and inspected at every stage of production thus eliminating infant moralities. From design to the finished product, and from sales to delivery, each process is controlled and organized to give our customers reliable, high quality products on time

  1. High level of quality check is done.
  2. First priority is given to the quality of the products.
  3. Raw materials are checked by magnetic crack detection before taking up for processing.
  4. Maximum use of raw materials, with minimal losses.
  5. Threads and Tapped Holes are gauge checked.
  6. Heat Treatment: The products are checked on a Hardness tester to ensure that the product is in the optimal hardness range.

Our in-house quality assurance team begins the process with the receipt of an order. They maintain close communications with customers to ensure that customer goal are clearly understood & completely achieved.

Manufacturing Process at PRIMO

The Four Steps adopted in Fastener manufacturing

1.  Heat Treatment is performed to increase the overall durability of the screw or bolt.

  • Hardening hardens the bolt or screw material.
  • Tempering is performed to reduce some of the excess hardness/brittleness of the fastener.

2.  Surface Finishing is done to enhance function and aesthetic appeal. Surface finishing can include:

  • Knurling is used to create crossed, angled, or straight lines into the metal.
  • Burnishing/Reaming is passed along the body of the fastener in a sliding motion.
  • Grinding is used to remove any imperfections from the screw to make the surface flat, smooth or even reflective. 

3.  Thread Forming and Rolling: Bolts and screws need to be threaded for many applications.

4.  Protective Coating is coating the screws and bolts with a protective coating. This prevents the fasteners from rust or corrosion, and can change the appearance by adding color. 

After all these steps have been completed the custom machined fasteners are then sent for testing and inspection. They are checked for their hardness levels, threading accuracy, impact and tensile strength, torque levels, coating thickness, and mating fit.  If they pass all these tests, they are then packed and shipped for delivery.
